Provide Outreach to the Low-Income Community

City Union Mission has provided community outreaches to help prevent homelessness since 1924.  Counselors interview desperate parents and single and elderly women every day to assess their needs and provide them with life-sustaining aid.  After praying with them and sharing the Gospel, our staff assists them with basic necessities many people take for granted!

Each Tuesday, our busses pick up women around the inner city for Bible study. And every weekday, our staff supplies hundreds of near-homeless families with groceries, clothing, diapers and other baby supplies, case management, life-skills classes and counseling - even utility assistance - so they can stay in their homes and avoid becoming homeless.

Your gift of $250 provides utility assistance for income-qualifying families who agree to attend a class on cutting utility costs.

A gift of $75 provides case management, free groceries, clothing and other items for families struggling to make it to the next month - and the next check.

Suggested Gift for Utility Assistance: $250

Suggested Gift for Food, Clothing, Case Management: $75
