City Union Mission is committed to serving the Lord by meeting the physical, spiritual, educational and emotional needs of the poor and homeless. We receive no government support, and we are not a United Way agency.* We depend completely on donations from individuals, groups, businesses, foundations and churches.

* Some individuals choose to do a "write in" nomination of City Union Mission (Tax ID 44-6005481) in their United Way pledge, and United Way disburses the collected donations to us after processing.
Donating Food and Used Items to City Union Mission
Your donations of prepared foods or canned, dry, frozen, or refrigerated foods help to feed the hungry poor and homeless. You can also donate hygiene, housekeeping and paper products.
Your donations provide clothing and other items for our poor and homeless clients. They also provide a source of low-cost items for the community at large. The proceeds of the 2nd Chance Thrift Stores go to the general fund of City Union Mission to provide clothing, food, shelter, education, and other services that we offer to the poor and homeless.
Supporting City Union Mission Financially
The following is a list of some special giving options for supporting the ministries of City Union Mission:
Through the love and compassion of City Union Mission's Bed & Bread Club, homeless and needy people have a place to go--even if it's not home. By sending a monthly gift of $15-- or $180 annually--you will help provide a homeless individual with safe shelter (a bed) and hot meals (bread). We're not asking you to help hundreds of homeless and hungry people. Just one. Year-round. Call for a brochure or respond below.
Camp Sponsorships
You can send a needy child to Camp CUMCITO to enjoy "luxuries" you and I couldn't imagine going without: three satisfying meals a day, clothes that aren't ripped or stained, a safe, quiet place to play and sleep. Camp CUMCITO (City Union Mission's Camp In The Ozarks) is just outside Warsaw, Missouri, carved out of the trees and hills of the Ozark Mountains. Vanderberg Youth Center
You can help send an inner city child to our after school program to teach youth important life skills and Christian values. Our Christ-centered program features tutoring, life and job skills training, Bible study, arts and crafts, music and drama, recreation and fitness, and mission opportunities. You can help us to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Call for more information or respond below.
