Celebrating New Lives
In April, City Union Mission staff and volunteers celebrated with New Life Program graduates Clara Moore, Erin Kauwoh and Caron McKnight, and Community New Life Program graduate Zoraida Golding! “Graduation is quite an accomplishment,” says Terry Megli, New Life Program administrator. “The program is a lot of work. This ceremony represents the next step in their recovery from homelessness—the beginning of a new way of thinking!”

New Life Program participants complete three phases of coursework and must show achievements in 18 different characteristics. The goal for the women and families is to develop a new foundation for maturity in Christ and stability in life while residing in the Mission’s New Life Center.
Participants in the Community New Life Program live in their own homes and make a yearlong commitment to work with our case managers to further sustain their independence, grow spiritually and rebuild family relationships.
During the ceremony, certificates were also awarded to Erin’s children, Dominque (Mission to check spelling) and Kara, for supporting their mom through the long-term recovery program.
Please pray for each of these individuals as they continue their life journeys with renewed hope and the tools to live stable productive lives for Christ.
