Compassion in Action - Dennis Brehm
Dennis Brehm is rarely without a hammer or screwdriver. As maintenance administrator at our Family Shelter, where 60 to 70 homeless dads, moms and kids live, eat, sleep, learn and play, there is always something in need of repair.

"One of my early prayers in life was for God to show me what I’m to do with my life. His answer was to serve and be mentally healthy."
This fall, Dennis will celebrate 20 years at City Union Mission. What encourages him to continue this lifework?
"Feeling like a hero and seeing the smiles generated when God and I fix something," he chuckles. "That's what I appreciate about my job."
