Five Ways to Maximize Your Gift Planning
What pulls your heartstrings? Urban kids getting a chance to spend a week at camp? Homeless people being fed, sheltered and given new hope? City Union Mission has established five unique funds that allow you to designate your gifts to those areas that most touch your heart, ensuring the Mission has the resources it needs to help the poor and homeless long into the future.
The Vanderberg Ministry Foundation is an endowment that will carry on the ministry to Kansas City’s poor and homeless by allowing City Union Mission to launch or expand their ministries, and support costs that would not be covered by the general fund.
The Capital Legacy Foundation will address special capital projects aimed at expanding and improving City Union Mission’s shelters and programs.
The Staff Education and Advancement Fund will allow us to meet training goals and employment needs of the future.
The Children’s Scholarship Fund helps meet the needs of poor and homeless children by sending them to Camp CUMCITO.
The Christian Life Scholarship Fund will help provide scholarship assistance for CLP and NLP graduates who wish to attend Bible college.
Discover how to leave a legacy for the Mission through our new foundations without reducing your regular gifts. Please contact Director of Development Dennis Chapman at (816) 474-9380, ext. 1476, or e-mail Dennisc@cumission.org.
