Winters in Kansas City can be bitterly cold and City Union Mission provides medical services are provided to hundreds of patients who have respiratory ailments, frostbite and other cold-related problems. Though we can’t make cold and illness disappear, we can provide medications that bring comfort. The Medicine Chest Drive is an opportunity to collect over-the-counter cold and flu medications, antacids, lotions, pain relievers and foot powders and creams to serve the poor and homeless of Kansas City.
We now need the following items:
**ALL ITEMS MUST BE ALCOHOL FREE**
- Robitussin DM - ALCOHOL FREE
- Infants' Tylenol/Cold Drops
- 81 mg. Aspirin
- Sinus/Allergy medicines (Benadryl, Sudafed)
- Pepto, Pepcid, Zantac, Immodium AD
- Hydrocortisone cream
- Triple Antibiotic Ointment
- Multivitamins and Vitamin C drops
- Athlete's foot powder
- Eye drops
- 4x4 Gauze Bandages, Sterile Individually Wrapped
- Caladryl or Anti-itch cream
- Medicine boxes to hold a week's worth of meds (NOT the kind that designate morning, noon, evening, & bed)
