| City Union Mission Opens “2nd Chance Thrift Store” In Waldo |

(Kansas City, MO) City Union Mission will open its “2nd Chance Thrift Store” at 7740 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO on Saturday, December 17, 2005 (projected opening date). The new store will sell items such as clothing for men, women, and children, electronics, home furnishings, games, sporting equipment, computers, furniture, and more.
Store/donation drop-off hours will be Monday-Saturday 9 am – 8 pm (after December 17). Donated items are needed to stock the store.
City Union Mission also provides for its poor or homeless clients with donated items, such as clothing and household items. Proceeds will assist City Union Mission in providing for the poor and homeless of Kansas City.
“We hope that the Kansas City area will embrace this new addition to the Waldo area. Here is an easy way everyone can make a difference for the homeless and poor. Please consider cleaning out your closet and donating new or gently used items. Please stop by and shop, too. We plan on offering high quality items for very reasonable prices,” said Dan Doty, executive director of City Union Mission. |
