Ruth’s Lodge Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
New building at City Union Mission’s Camp in the Ozarks to be named after founde

What: CAMP CUMCITO, City Union Mission’s Camp in the Ozarks for low-income and homeless children, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new building to be used as a retreat center. The building will be named after Ruth Vanderberg, daughter of City Union Mission’s founders, Rev. David and Beulah Bulkley, who was known for her love for children. Ruth was also married to Rev. Maurice Vanderberg, who was executive director at City Union Mission for 37 years. A short program, refreshments, and a tour of the building will follow.
When: On Friday, July 29, 2005 at 3pm
Where: CAMP CUMCITO’s Tot Lot, 13563 Hwy 7, Warsaw, MO

Camp CUMCITO has been a staple of City Union Mission since the mid 1930s. Located on 500 acres in Warsaw, MO, Camp CUMCITO (ages 7-16) and its Tot Lot (ages 4-6) provide up to 500 low-income children the chance to attend free week-long camps. The only cost to families is a $5 registration fee.
