Everyone Has Something To Give!
December 21, 2006
Almost 20 girls gathered for a meeting of Camp Fire Girls, at RJ Delano School, which caters to those with special needs, to hear about City Union Mission.

“I was so impressed with Dr. Jennifer Malone, who told us she wants all the students in her school to learn to give back to the community,” said Pat Brodnax, Volunteer Specialist.

That certainly fits with the Camp Fire Girls as an organization. Their Representative, Tina Jenkins, explains, “Our mission is building caring confident youth, and future leaders, and our motto is: “Give Service.”

Carol Graves, leader of the group agrees, “We think it’s very important to teach the girls the value of giving to those less fortunate.”

After viewing a short video about City Union Mission, and a short question and answer time, the girls presented toiletries for the clients that they had been collecting.
