Kansas City Christian School held a "Paper Please" drive for City Union Mission. Close to 1,100 lbs. worth of paper items were collected during their chapel service, on Thursday, February 1, 2007, almost one-third times more than they donated in the drive two years ago.
"Most of us can’t imagine what it would be like to not have access to the basic necessities, such as toilet paper and tissues. We just take having them for granted. Our clients do not. Each month City Union Mission goes through 4,000 rolls of toilet paper. Thank you so much, Kansas City Christian School, for answering the call on behalf of the poor and homeless in Kansas City,” said Reverend Adam Mosser, Church Relations Specialist.
Kansas City Christian School’s “focus is to teach each student with integrity of heart and with skillfulness of hands.” (Psalm 78:70-72). Their mission is “to assist Christian parents in training their children to aspire to God's standard of excellence in the home, church, and community.”
