News at City Union Mission

Horse Show to Benefit City Union Mission
June 18, 2007

(Kansas City, MO) July 20 and 21 equine enthusiasts from across the Midwest will be at Hale Arena, American Royal complex in Kansas City MO, for the Kansas City’s Own Central States Benefit Horse Show.

“This is the first year for this event for American Saddlebred horses. We also know of some Arabians, Morgans, and Hackney Ponies coming as well. We are really excited about it and anticipate it growing, especially since we will be in an air-conditioned facility. It’s a great time to see the owners put their show horses through their paces for top honors,” said  Lynn McCallister, Chairman of the Horseshow Committee.

Proceeds received from participants and event sponsors will benefit City Union Mission’s front-line ministry to Kansas City’s poor or homeless. For an event schedule, entry forms or for more information, you can please contact Lynn McCallister at 913-579-7709, or visit Central States Benefit Horse Show’s website.

The event is open to the public at no cost. Shows on Friday are at noon and 7 pm, and on Saturday at 9 am, noon and 7 pm. For a complete listing, please click here.
