| What: |
City Union Mission’s CELEBRATE HOPE BANQUET; this annual event kicks off the Mission’s fundraising campaign, an effort to raise nearly $3 million, half of its annual budget. The campaign ends January 15, 2006. The evening will include a presentation by sculptor Richard Hight. Hillcrest Covenant Church will receive the “A Cup in His Name Award” for outstanding church involvement, Hy-Vee will receive the “Matthew 25 Award” for corporate partnership, and Diane Bradburn will receive the “Association of Gospel Rescue Missions’ Rescuer Award” for her years of volunteer service. A City Union Mission guest will offer his testimony; the Christian Life Program Men’s Choir, made up of homeless guests, will sing.
