Today started off with the campers gathered around the flag-pole for flag raising and then off to the dining hall for a good breakfast. Afterward, everyone had a great time in chapel singing camp songs. Miss Carol then taught the day's lesson and the campers enthusiastically responded, especially during the singing of traditional camp songs.
The theme for this week is “The Heart of Jesus.”

The girls then hit the pool for a couple of hours and always seem to enjoy that. The boys participated in a recreation activity consisting of kick ball and kick ball tag, a game that the camp director developed.
The campers beat the recreation staff in three straight games and they let everyone know!

The afternoon and evening water activities were slowed a bit by rain, but it didn’t dampen the campers’ enthusiasm. A couple of the girls’ cabins had the opportunity to bake cookies and they were delicious. Especially the cookie dough!

They then played a couple of silly games. One consisted of each girl having a bowl full of whipped cream and about seven gummy worms, and they had to be the first one to eat all of the gummy worms in their bowl. The catch was that they couldn’t use their hands. The girls jumped in face first. Needless to say, it was very messy and quite a sight. |
