Baptist Youth Volunteer at 2nd Chance Thrift Store
Thanks to the youth and leaders that participated in this summer mission trip
August 02, 2007

Harrison Baptist Association consists of 23 churches in Harrison County, MO. The Association sent 11 youth and 5 adults, under the direction of youth leaders, Stephen and Sarah Williamson, to City Union Mission for 3 days of volunteer work at the 63rd Street 2nd Chance Thrift Store. “Every summer we take the youth on a mission trip.  Melanie Griffith, a Family Shelter Case Manager, told us about the mission, so this year we decided to bring them to City Union Mission.”

“We’re thrilled that they have decided to make this a yearly mission trip. Next year they will be conducting the Vacation Bible School we have at our Family Center,” said Pat Brodnax, Informal Volunteer Administrator. “We are always so appreciative of groups like this one who are willing to pitch in and do whatever is needed.”
