Affordable Housing Assistance Program Offers Tax Credits
Gifts towards capital campaign can decrease donor tax liabilities
October 25, 2007

The Affordable Housing Assistance Program (AHAP) is a tax credit program  of the Missouri Housing Development Corporation. Tax credits are awarded to organizations through a competitive process that considers organizational program quality and fiscal responsibility. City Union Mission was awarded $150,000 in AHAP tax credits.

While they last, some tax credits are still available for gifts of $5,000 or more towards our capital campaign, Building the Walls that Rebuild Lives. These tax credits are an excellent way for donors to decrease both their Missouri and Federal tax liabilities. Be sure to consult with your tax advisor for your best tax strategy.

There are a limited amount of credits available at this time, so contact Calvin Caylor at (816) 329-1475. Calvin can address the availability of tax credits and answer any questions you have about them.
