"Since construction of the new facility for our Christian Life Program began, we all have watched with anticipation," says Karen Housholder, Media/Publicist Specialist. "The drawings of what it will look right are great, but I still have had difficulty in visualizing what it’s really going to be like. So when I was invited to take my first walk through, you can imagine how excited I was."
"Inside it is so much larger than I had imagined, with high ceilings, and windows everywhere. There are several strategically located open areas, such as the courtyard right in the center of the building, and a gymnasium. Each of the 10, 6 and 4 man-sleeping areas has plenty of room, plus each one has windows. There is an overall sense of openness carried throughout the facility."

"And then there’s the view of the city from the second floor. It’s simply spectacular! I picture men standing up here, looking out and beyond their present circumstances, dreaming of a new life. At least that’s my prayer for them. In this atmosphere men can have the freedom to dream…to discover their identity in Christ and to learn His purpose for their lives."

"Thank you for helping us with our Capital Campaign, Building the Walls That Rebuild Lives. We are so grateful.
Currently we have enough to finish our new facility, but not for the crucial renovations that must take place in our current men’s shelter and for Camp CUMCITO. Providing dignified care to all our guests is heavy on our hearts. If you would like to find out the different ways you can help with the Capital Campaign, please click here. |
