One Changed Life
February 14, 2008

Nate Bancroft came through the Christian Life Program at City Union Mission’s Opportunity Farm, in Warsaw, MO.  He is just one example of a man whose life has not only been changed but who is now helping others to find hope and recovery through Jesus Christ.

“Since I have left the farm God has continued to bless my life in amazing ways. Next month I will celebrate two years clean and sober, and I am still smoke free too!  I am very active at my church, Allen Street Baptist Church.  I help lead Celebrate Recovery, and I help take a meeting into pathways in Clinton on Mondays.  It is exciting watching God work in other peoples’ lives like he has in mine! I am studying to become certified in Biblical Counseling, am now co-owner of the family business, and I own my own home!  I have been blessed with a girlfriend who fears the Lord.  And if that’s not enough God even preformed a miracle in my life!  When I was at the farm I tested positive for the hepatitis C virus. When I left the farm I went to see a specialist to have a plan of treatment worked out. When he got the results from all my blood tests the virus had mysteriously vanished. Well it’s not a mystery to me. It was an answered prayer.”

God is doing miraculous work everyday at City Union Mission.  You can read more inspiring stories of the men and women who have come through our doors by clicking here.  If you are interested in learning about the programs at the Mission, please click here.  And if you want to find out how you can be a part of this ministry, please click here.
