St. Luke's College of Nursing coordinated a coat drive to benefit City Union Mission. This drive brought in a truck load of coats for men, women and children in need this winter season!
"We are thankful for their dedication to enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual health of the communities that they serve. Not only have they coordinated this coat drive, but they have given excellent care to those in need at our shelter by volunteering in our medical services department," said Shawna Ketter, Corporate Relations Specialist. "It is exciting to see so many people come together to support hurting men, women and children."

"We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to this organization because we know how much they do for the community of Kansas City," said Lensie Mayhew, Community Chair of St. Luke's Student Nurses Association.
The coats donated by St. Luke's College of Nursing will go the clothing closets at the Men's Shelter and Family Shelter, to be given to those that need a helping hand with a warm coat. All too often, in Kansas City men, women and children find themselves homeless and in need of a place to stay.
