Crowne Plaza Donates Excess Goods
June 01, 2009

In 2006, The Hotel Group (THG), which is the property manager and owner of Crowne Plaza in downtown Kansas City, "established the Good Neighbor Program to formalize its long standing committment to partner with non-profit organizations in communities where we operate hotels,” says Lynne Dematteo from The Hotel Group. “ THG donates excess furniture, fixtures, televisions, etc. from hotels during renovations and upgrades.”

Crowne Plaza is one hotel that takes their “Good Neighbor” role seriously. Recently, the Crowne Plaza donated over 300 coffee pots and 300 hair dryers to City Union Mission.  “We are happy that City Union Mission can use these items," said Kim Smith, Housekeeping Manager for Crowne Plaza."It's a pleasure to be able to give to those in need."
